About Us
Founded by a survivor for survivors, our goal is to provide a non-judgmental space that empowers and encourages survivors to find their independence and self-respect.
My Second Chance is a non-profit based in Clifton, NJ dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence. Through a variety of support programs, referrals to local resources, guidance and individualized support, we create an environment that unlocks a state of independence and reassurance through what can otherwise be a lonely and difficult process.
Our main goal is to provide a sanctuary for survivors. A place they can feel safe and free to explore the best options for them and their families, a place where hope can be regained and strength restored.
We are committed to helping survivors take the next step in their journey and confidently embark on their second chance at a life without violence..
Every success story at My Second Chance starts at the hands of caring people like yourself. Click below to learn more about our organization, its founder and the programs we offer currently.
Our Impact
Why Our Work Matters
1 in 3 women experience domestic/partner violence in their lives. Many return to their abusers out of fear, children, lack of resources, lack of self-esteem or financial dependence. We are here to offer them a second chance by extending a helping hand, an ear to listen and a safe space to regain their independence and strength.
